What is gravity?

Gravity is the force that pulls objects towards each other. It is the reason why the Earth orbits the Sun and why the Moon orbits the Earth. According to Newton's law of universal gravitation, the force of gravity is directly proportional to the product of the masses of the objects and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between their centers. In equation form, it can be expressed as:

$$ F = \frac{G \cdot m_1 \cdot m_2}{r^2} $$

Here, F represents the force of gravity, G is the gravitational constant, (m_1) and (m_2) are the masses of the objects, and r is the distance between their centers.
