If a point is at (3,4), where is it after a translation of 2 units right and 3 units up?

The Translation of a Point in a Coordinate Plane

In order to determine the new location of a point after a translation, we can simply add the translation amounts to the original coordinates.

Given the original point at (3,4) and a translation of 2 units right and 3 units up, the new coordinates can be found by adding the translation values to the original coordinates:

New x-coordinate = 3 + 2 = 5 New y-coordinate = 4 + 3 = 7

Therefore, after the translation, the point will be located at (5,7) in the coordinate plane.
